Dr. Cantrell is a native of Anderson, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science at Clemson University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include orthopedic surgery, spay/neuter, preventative medicine, and dermatology.

In her free time, Dr. Kay enjoys spending time with her family and friends, swimming, building anything with power tools, and trying out new food places.

Dr. Kay and her husband stay busy with their rescue dogs Rose and Spike, a heeler mix and a pit bull, and their cats Twix, Luna, and Coal, all of which have different medical conditions.
